Please join the fun and check in to some of the nets listed above. They can provide training and answers to many of your radio hobby related questions.
This week, we would like you to check out the North Alabama DX Club at:
Whether you are an avid HF radio operator or the casual FM Repeater user, the site contains a lot of great radio information and items of interest to ham radio enthusiasts in North Alabama. The club's focus is on chasing and contacting as many of those far away distant stations (DX) as possible. However, there are interesting articles in their monthly news letter the "Long Path" and you will find information about contests and related subjects. CHECK THEM OUT!
In addition to their website, they meet on the second Tuesday of each month at the Golden Corral on University Blvd. at 6:00PM. Come on down and join them for a buffet meal then attend the meeting.
The North Alabama DX Club also maintains a repeater on 147.300 +Offset, 103.5 PL Tone. Jump on there and put your call out and see who you can find.
