Have you ever wondered how one of the NARA repeaters work? Well, you are not alone. A lot of hardware and software work goes on behind the scenes to ensure that our repeaters deliver the services that you expect and enjoy. The repeater controller unit is the brains, and centralizes the various options that are available to our repeater control operators and define what you the user interacts with. There are numerous ways to connect various audio and RF sources to the repeater and they all go through the controller.
So the next time you check into the University of Alabama net, or the tech net, you can get an idea of where you are connected and how the various pieces of the puzzle go together.
